General

 

The 29th ADFIAP Annual Meetings hosted by DFCC Bank will be held at Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 8 – 11 May 2006.

The Opening Ceremonies of the Annual Conference is scheduled to begin at 0830 hrs on Wednesday, 10 May 2006, at the Oak Room of Cinnamon Grand Hotel.  Delegates are requested to register starting 0800 hrs prior to the start of the Opening Ceremonies if they have not done so upon arrival.

Transportation from Airport to Hotel and Back

 

Complimentary airport transfer-in and transfer-out services will be provided.  All delegates will be met by a person bearing the “Welcome to the 29th ADFIAP Annual Meetings” poster which will be provided by the host, DFCC Bank.  All arrival/departure details need to be communicated to ADFIAP Secretariat c/o: Ms Sandy I. Lim, Sr. Executive, Membershipat Fax No (63-2) 817-6498 by April 30, 2006.  In case of any changes in itinerary after April 29, kindly contact Ms Sriyani Ranatunga, Assistant Vice President, DFCC Bank at Fax No 94 11 2472022 with copy to ADFIAP Secretariat, or call Ms. Sandy Lim/Ms. Wijesekera/Ms. Amarasiri at their respective mobile numbers.(Please refer to item 9, contact persons). We would strongly advise delegates to secure return/onward flights prior to their departure for Colombo, Sri Lanka to avoid any undue delays.

 

Registration

 

Delegates are requested to register prior to the formal opening of the 29th ADFIAP Annual Meetings at Foyer of the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand Hotel, if he/she has not done so yet upon arrival.  Secretariat office will be open for early registrants by Sunday, 7 May 2006 at 1400 hrs, Secretariat Office, located in the foyer of the Oak Room of Cinnamon Grand Hotel.  

 

Tours

 

DFCC Bank will host the Fellowship Tour on Thursday, 11 May 2006.  Spouses/accompanying persons are invited to join the tour.  Details will be provided later.

A programme for accompanying persons will be organised and hosted by DFCC Bank.  Optional tours can be arranged but expenses of these tours will have to be borne by the respective persons.

 

Awards Dinner (9 May) and Closing Dinner (10 May)

 

The Awards Dinner (9 May) and Closing Dinner (10 May) will both be hosted by DFCC Bank and will be held at the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand Hotel and the Grand Ballroom, Hilton Hotel respectively.  The latter is located a mere 10 minutes drive from Cinnamon Grand Hotel and Galle Face Hotel.  Transportation to Hilton and back will be provided for guests booked at both the Cinnamon Grand Hotel and Galle Face Hotel. 

The Awards Night will be a formal function for which the dress code is lounge or the national dress of the delegates’ countries.  The dress code for the Closing Dinner will be smart/casual.  May we also request that a token gift representative of each country be brought for the usual traditional raffle event held during the Closing Dinner on 10 May 2006.
