China Development Bank (CDB) is supporting the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative’s (UNEP FI) 2013 Global Roundtable with the theme, “Financing the Future We Want – China, Emerging Markets and the World Economy”, to be held in Beijing on November 12-13, 2013. CDB had long been committed to sustainable development, in fact its mission is to provide medium-to-long-term financing facilities that assist in the development of a robust economy and a healthy, prosperous community. It aligns its business focus with national economic strategy and allocates resources to break through bottlenecks in China’s economic and social development. It is actively working to support the efforts of the Chinese government to create an Ecological Civilization, through lending that embeds environmental, social and governance concerns.
