Brief Profile of the Bank

Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) wholly owned by the Government of Canada, is a Crown corporation created by the Parliament in 1944 under the BDC Act.

The Bank promotes entrepreneurship by providing financing, consulting and venture capital services to Canadian who are creating and growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
