Brief Profile of the Bank

Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad (CGCMB) was incorporated as a limited company under the Malaysian Companies Act 1965 on July 5, 1972. The current shareholders are Bank Negara Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia) holding 79.3% and the commercial banks, 20.7%. The objective of CGCMB is to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially those with inadequate collateral or without collateral, gain access to financing from financial institutions at a reasonable cost. It also complements the Government's efforts in promoting and developing identified business sectors.
