Brief Profile of the Bank
Development Bank of Kazakhstan (DBK) was established by the Decree
of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and within the Law of the Republic
of Kazakhstan on Development Bank of Kazakhstan on April 25th, 2001 as Joint
Stock Company entirely owned by the Government. The Bank began its operational
activity in June 2001. DBK's mission is to promote stable long-term economic
growth of the Republic of Kazakhstan by way of covering, on commercial basis,
the investment needs of the accelerated development of the competitive secondary
industries of the national economy in credit resources, which are not supported
by second-tier banks. DBK has special legal status.

Medium-term (five and more years) and long-term (ten and up to twenty years) financing of investment projects.
Financing of export operations of Kazakhstans residents in and effort to promote export of goods produced on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Improvement of funding mechanisms of investment projects implemented by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
