Brief Profile of the Bank

Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank) was set up in March 1981 by an Act of the Indian Parliament (the Export-Import Bank of India Act, 1981) for providing financial assistance to exporters and importers, and for functioning as the financial institution for coordinating the working of institutions engaged in financing export and import of goods and services with a view to promoting the country's international trade. The Bank commenced operations in March 1982. The year 2006-07 marks the Silver Jubilee of the Bank's operations.
