Brief Profile of the Bank
Lankaputhra Development Bank Limited (LDB) was established on July 3, 2006. It is a licensed Specialized Bank registered with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and incorporated as a public limited liability company under the companies act. The objective of the Bank is to directly involve itself in the country's development activity and play a catalytic role in promoting regional economic expansion. LDB aims to strengthen the SME Sector in the regions through innovative and flexible project financing at affordable rates.
LDB being a Bank fully owned by the government of Sri Lanka through the Ministry of Finance and Planning guarantees the highest level of security to the people invest with us. As the only development bank owned by the government, KDB lends at a very low interest rates in order to keep in line with government objectives.
Products and Services Offered
LDB's term Loan scheme was designed to help small and medium scale entrepreneurs at concessionary rates and terms. Loans could be obtained to start a new project or expansion of an existing businss relating to Agricultral activities, local and export oriented manufacturing industries, diary farming and fisheries, etc. Our Deposit base is also strengthened by targeting different sectors in the market.
