Brief Profile of the Bank
The National Bank of Uzbekistan (NBU) was established by Presidential Degree on September 7, 1991. NBU is
the first bank in Uzbekistan to adopt international accounting standards, with a well-developed network of 93 offices,
NBU boasts a nationwide presence catering to both corporate and retail clients. Accounting for over 60% of total banking
assets in the country, the bank ranked 675th in "the Banker's" top 1000 worlds largest banks. NBU has over 600
correspondent banks in 75 countries, and a subsidiary bank in Moscow-"Asia-Invest Bank".
