AC, UP-ISSI set to expand IDF training program offerings

ADFIAP Consulting (AC) and the University of the Philippines’ Institute for Small-Scale Industries met on June 14, 2011 at the UP-ISSI headquarters to discuss the full implementation of their Memorandum of Understanding through the development of new demand-driven training programs for ADFIAP’s Institute of Development Finance (IDF) that would cater to the dynamic requirements of the Association and its key stakeholders. Among the subject areas of focus are greening education for financial institutions and their clients, enhancing operational efficiency through effective account management, setting up of a small and medium enterprise (SME) lending business, and a holistic approach to risk management.

UP-ISSI https://entrepreneurship.org.ph/ which has a solid track record of assisting entrepreneurial institutions in the Philippines and other countries in Asia and the Pacific, has built up their SME development and financing capabilities through four major strategies: training and institution-building, research and policy studies, consultancy and extension, and advocacy and information.

AC was represented in the meeting by Ms. Cora Conde, Group Head, Atty. Alberto Reyno, Managing Partner, Ms. Cecile Ibarra, Head of Advocacy and Training, and Ms. Arlene Orencia, Head of Projects and Programs while UP-ISSI was represented by Ms. Arlene Liberal, Training Director/Consultant.
