The 37th ADFIAP Annual Meeting, with the theme “Development Banking Best Practices and Future Trends”, held on April 23-25, 2014 in Moscow, Russia drew a record number of over 120 delegates from both international and local organizations representing ADFIAP members, partners and guests. The gathering, hosted by ADFIAP member, Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs Vnesheconombank (VEB), was inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation, Mr. Nikolay Pooguzov and VEB Chairman, Mr. Vladimir Dmitriev.

Highlighting the event was the conference proper divided into four (4) plenary sessions covering topics on financial inclusion, infrastructure finance and green finance as well as a CEO panel on future trends on development banking. Other programmes included the 78th Board of Directors Meeting (please see related story), the 15th Extraordinary Meeting of the General Assembly, the Delegate-Meets-Delegate Session, the Welcome Dinner and Awards Night, the drafting of the Moscow Declaration (please see related story) and the Fellowship Day.

The ADFIAP annual meeting, held in different venues in the Asia-Pacific region, serves as a platform for the ADFIAP members, partner-organizations and other stakeholders to exchange views, ideas and best practices on issues affecting them as well as to network and explore cooperation opportunities. The next annual meeting will be held in Nah Trang, Vietnam to be hosted by the Vietnam Development Bank in April 2015.
