ADFIAP Awards 2018 honors members’ outstanding projects

ADFIAP members were honored for their outstanding projects during the Welcome Dinner and 2018 ADFIAP Awards Night held in conjunction with the 41st ADFIAP Annual Meeting on February 20-22, 2018 at the ITC Maurya Hotel in New Delhi, India. The ADFIAP “Outstanding Development Project Awards” recognizes member-banks which have undertaken and/or assisted projects that have created a development impact in their respective countries.

The 2018 award winners were: the International Financial Consulting for its project, “Institutional Development Program for Uganda Development Bank Ltd.” (human capital development category); Development Bank of the Philippines for its project, “Tacloban City Energy Efficient Street Lighting Project” (environmental development category); SME Development Bank Malaysia Berhad for its project, “Sukses TV Programme” (SME development category); Development Bank of the Philippines for its project, “Infrastructure Contractor Support (ICONS)” program (infrastructure development category); Export-Import Bank of India for its project, “Eximbank of India’s Financing to Stellapps Technologies Pvt Ltd”; Agrobank (Bank Pertanian Malaysia) for its project, “Development of Area Farmers Organization Kuala Langat, Selangor under Financing for Chilli Fertigation-i Program” (local economic development category); Landbank of the Philippines for its project, “Landbank Financial Inclusion Caravan” (financial inclusion category); and Development Bank of Japan Inc. for its project, “DBJ’s Employees Health Management Rated Loan Program” (corporate social responsibility category).

The Merit Awardees were: DFCC Bank PLC and Perbadanan Nasional Berhad, for their respective projects, “Building a Cohesive Value-Based Internal Cultures” and “Varsity, Entrepreneurship, Skill and Talent” (VEST) (human capital development category); Alalay sa Kaunlaran, Inc. for its project, “Green Energy Program for Rural Communities” (environmental development category); Export-Import Bank of India for its project “Exim Mitra: Export Facilitation Portal” (SME development category); Bank of Industry and Mine and Employees Provident Fund for their respective projects, “Saze Sazan Water Supply and Distribution Power Plant” and “EPF’s Infrastructure Project” (infrastructure development category); Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited for its project, “E-Credit Scheme” (technology development category); Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India for its project, “Startup Village Entrepreneurship Program” (local economic development category); Development Bank of Samoa for its project, “Inclusive Development Credit Facility Program for Women and Youth (Phase 1)” (financial inclusion category); Pag-IBIG Fund for its project, “Pag-IBIG Fund’s Risk Management Program” (corporate governance category); and Johor Corporation, National Small Industries Corporation Limited and IPDC Finance Ltd for their respective projects, “Kulim Wildlife Defenders (KWD)”, “Commitment for Building a Better Tomorrow for our Communities”, and “Crafting Tales of Joy, Creating Stories Rather-CSR” (corporate social responsibility).

Special awards winners went to: SME Development Bank for “Best Sustainability Report”, DFCC Bank PLC for “Best Annual Report”, IDBI Bank Ltd for “Best Website” and Development Bank of Mongolia as “First Payor”.
