ADFIAP members who attended the 41st Annual Meeting held on February 20-22, 2018 in New Delhi, India, have crafted the “New Delhi Declaration” with the following statements:

Declaration 1: Agricultural and Rural Development. REALIZING that agriculture and rural development are essential to inclusive and sustainable development, ADFIAP will harness its network of international donors and partners to provide its members with knowledge resources and collaboration linkages for them to be able to build capacity and help increase agriculture and rural development investments in their respective countries.

Declaration 2: Affordable Housing. UNDERSTANDING that everyone has a fundamental right to housing which ensures access to a safe, secure, habitable, and affordable home, ADFIAP will develop cooperation and information exchange opportunities for members to access knowledge and expertise in furtherance of their aim to promote and invest in affordable housing.

Declaration 3: MSME & Entrepreneurship. COMMITTING to its objective of being an advocate of inclusive and sustainable development, ADFIAP will continue to explore and develop capacity-building opportunities for its members in support of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as to relate and partner with like-minded development institutions around the world that will contribute to the attainment of this goal.

Declaration 4: Infrastructure Development. ACKNOWLEDGING the enormity and scope of investments required to improve existing economic and social infrastructure and build new ones to sustain inclusive economic growth, ADFIAP will help members to source funds, build partnerships, and develop support mechanisms for innovations in infrastructure development.

Declaration 5: International Trade. NOTING the current nature and prospects of international and regional trade, ADFIAP will further help members improve their capacity in providing trade finance and other assistances that will help create a more dynamic and robust trade across the globe.

Declaration 6: DFIs and the SDGs. RESPONDING to the U.N.-backed sustainable development goals (SDGs), ADFIAP will draw from the experiences of its members to develop and conduct programs on how DFIs can further contribute to the attainment of these goals.
