ADFIAP’s Asia-Pacific Institute of Development Finance (IDF) organized a special seminar on corporate governance essentials for the Board of Directors and top management of the National Development Bank of Palau (NDBP) from June 13-16, 2016 in Manila, Philippines. Eight participants attended the program.

The objective of the course was to apprise and update the NDBP participants on best practices of corporate governance and essential knowledge to enhance Board-management relationship in steering the Bank to succeed and become sustainable. The programme covered governance principles, processes, structures and performance measurement; key bank operational topics such as risk management, credit policy, guarantee mechanisms, management reporting; public relations and CSR; sustainability reporting and governance from the perspective of a regulatory agency.

Resource persons included those from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), WritersEdge, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank) and the ADFIAP Consulting Group.
