ADFIAP Secretariat meets with ICC Executive Director

The ADFIAP Secretariat in Manila was visited on September 24, 2012 by the Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), through its Executive Director for Business Development & Global Networks, Mr. Philip Kucharski, who presented ICC’s work and advocacy that covers three main activities on rule setting, arbitration and policy, mostly for international business conduct. Mr. Kucharski, who was accompanied by Mr. Christophe Dossarps, ADB Consultant for the NIIS project which ADFIAP is also involved with, met with ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, and members of the ADFIAP Consulting (AC) group, namely, Ms. Cora Conde, Atty. Bert Reyno, Ms. Arlene Orencia, Ms. Cecile Ibarra and Ms. Cristy Aquino.

Among the topics discussed and areas of common interest and possible future collaboration between ADFIAP and ICC are in training and capacity-building programs, particularly on small and medium enterprises (SMEs), green growth, good governance and anti-corruption measures. Also discussed was the ADB-supported National Infrastructure Information System (NIIS) project http://www.infrastructure-system.info/?MenuID=22 that aims to build networks, both from the private and public sectors, to facilitate infrastructure project design and investment. ADFIAP is currently assisting in the build-up of a DFI (development finance institution) network database for NIIS.
