FDB helps Suva Special School

Fiji Development BankIn an effort to assist children with special needs, the Fiji Development Bank this week donated $1,800 to fund the Suva Special School’s round-the-island field trip of Viti Levu. In a small ceremony at the school in Namadi with a backdrop of beaming students, FDB acting Manager Customer Relations & Business Development Candice Hesaie presented the cheque on behalf of the bank.

Located along Salato Road, Namadi, Suva Special School educates children with disabilities, health disorders, behavioural issues, emotional issues and others who do not get enrolled into regular schools.
The school has a roll of 110 students who are assisted by 15 teachers and 8 ancillary staff.

The students will be visiting educational sites around Viti Levu from 4-6 November with sleep overs at the Lautoka Special School and the Rakiraki Special School. This will assist them in interacting and socialising with students from other special schools.
