ADFIAP received the visit and welcomed the KfW Development Bank’s East and Southeast Asia team to the ADFIAP headquarters in Makati City. The team is headed by Michael Gruber, Country Team Head, together with Joachim Schumacher, Director, and Peter Maats, Senior Project Manager. Mr. Florencio briefed them on ADFIAP’s mission of sustainable development through training and consultation services to members. Exploratory conversations on a collaboration possibility between KfW and ADFIAP for its members in East and Southeast Asia were also discussed.

 

KfW Development Bank, an ADFIAP member, is a state-owned development bank based in Frankfurt, Germany, and has been helping the German Federal Government to achieve its goals in development policy and international development cooperation for more than 50 years.  KfW finance and support programs and projects that mainly involve public sector players in developing countries and emerging economies – from their conception and execution to monitoring their success. KfW’s goal is to help its partner countries fight poverty, maintain peace, protect both the environment and the climate, and appropriately shape globalization.
