ADFIAP networks with associations at IMEX America

ADFIAP participated as an invited hosted buyer at the 2nd IMEX America, the largest conference and forum in the U.S. for global meetings, incentives, conferences and events held from October 8-11, 2012 at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas.

ADFIAP Consulting (AC) Head, Ms. Corazon Conde, who represented ADFIAP in the event, participated in the two-day session themed, “Advancing Women Leadership: An Open and Authentic Conversation” organized by High Performance Strategies, LLC (HPS) which hosted ADFIAP’s participation. The session was led by Ms. Susan Sarfati and Ms. Liz Jackson, CEO of HPS and President of Jackson Consulting, Inc., respectively, both based in Washington, D.C. Ms. Conde also held meetings with 19 exhibitors and service providers to further enhance future ADFIAP conferences, meetings and training events.

IMEX America is a major yearly networking event bringing associations, NGOs and other organizations together to share best practices and introduce innovative ideas during the “Association Focus”, an event exclusively for association executives. The event is also a venue for exhibitors and suppliers representing national and regional tourist offices, major hotel groups, airlines, destination management companies and service providers, to showcase products and services that cater to the various needs of associations.

This year’s event featured 77 new booths and showcased 2,413 exhibiting companies with 2,400 hosted buyers from across North America and 43 other global markets plus 1,700 registered attendees. The 4-day professional development and networking event also featured over 100 interactive educational tracks for association executives such as “Deep-Dive: Managing through Change”, “What CSR Really Means to You and Your Delegates”, “From Policy to Performance: Designing Better Meetings through Sustainability”, “Solutions for Doing More with Less”, “The Evolution of Strategic Meetings Management”, “Case Study Writing Session” and “Future Strategies and Business Models for Associations”.
