The ADFIAP Board of Directors has granted honorary membership to Dr. Sailendra Narain, former Managing Director of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). Dr. Narain has served ADFIAP in many capacities over the last two decades, providing advice on micro, small and medium enterprises, moderating plenary sessions at ADFIAP conferences, and referring the Association for grants and technical assistance to multilateral development institutions such as the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).

Honorary membership is conferred by ADFIAP to individuals who have performed outstanding services in the field of development banking, or who have been closely connected with the profession of development banking and have served ADFIAP for many years.
