AC participates in energy efficiency forum

In line with ADFIAP’s environmental responsibility advocacy and upon invitation of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), ADFIAP Consulting (AC) participated in the 2nd Philippine Energy Efficiency Forum (PEEF) held on July 19, 2011 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila.

The forum, with the theme, Synergizing Partnerships for an Energy Efficient and Competitive Philippines, focused on bringing together key stakeholders implementing energy efficiency programs. Delegates discussed initiatives and commitments from both the public and private sectors, and presented local and international best practices on energy efficiency. The forum’s ultimate objective is to synergize efforts of all stakeholders to do more as well as operate more efficiently with the limited resources to promote energy efficiency throughout the country.

Among the distinguished speakers in the forum were Hon. Jose Rene Almendras, Secretary of the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE), Mr. Hubert d’Aboville, ECCP President and Mr. Matthew Gamser, Regional Business Line Leader, Access to Finance of the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

AC was represented in the forum by Atty. Alberto B. Reyno, AC Managing Partner and Ms. Cecilia M. Ibarra, Head, AC Advocacy and Training.

The ECCP, www.eccp.com a partner of ADFIAP in the EU-funded SMART Cebu project, is a membership organization of close to 700 members and serves as the voice of the European business community in the Philippines.
