Muscat, Oman – April 25, 2025 – The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific(ADFIAP) proudly convened its 48th Annual Meetings from April 23 to 25, 2025, in the vibrant city of Muscat, Oman. Hosted by the Development Bank (Oman), the event brought together nearly 400 delegates from government agencies, private financial institutions, development partners, and industry stakeholders across Asia and beyond.
The conference, centered around the theme “Economic Gardening and Development Impact,” highlighted the importance of nurturing local potential and investing in human, knowledge, and community capital to drive sustainable growth and development. Participants explored innovative solutions and strategies to enhance development impact, promote financial inclusion, and foster economic resilience.
The conference began with opening remarks from Mr. Hussain Ali Ibrahim Al Lawati, CEO of the Development Bank of Oman. This was followed by welcome remarks from H.E. Dr. Kao Thach, ADFIAP Chairman and CEO of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank of Cambodia. The keynote address was delivered by H.E. Mahmood Abdullah Al Aweini, Chairman of the Development Bank and Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Sultanate of Oman.
High-level discussions featured prominent speakers from the government, the private sector, and international organizations, emphasizing the importance of innovative financing and sustainable development strategies. Sessions covered topics such as green finance, digital transformation, financial inclusion, and resilient infrastructure financing, all within the context of economic gardening and development impact.
