ADFIAP appoints two new Vice Chairmen, strengthening Association’s leadership

In a significant step towards enhancing its leadership and driving development initiatives, the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) has recently appointed two new Vice Chairmen. The decision was made during the organization’s highly anticipated 94th Board of Directors Meeting held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on May 16, 2023.

The newly appointed ADFIAP Vice Chairmen – (2nd Vice-Chair) H.E. Khao Thach, the distinguished CEO of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), and (3rd Vice-Chair) Datuk Wira (Dr.) Aria Putera Ismail, the esteemed CEO of SME Bank Malaysia, will be working side by side with Mr. Saud Minam, CEO of the Fiji Development Bank who is now the organization’s 1st Vice-Chair.

These appointments come at a crucial juncture as ADFIAP seeks to navigate the evolving landscape of development financing. With their diverse backgrounds and deep understanding of regional challenges, the new Chairman and Vice Chairmen are well-positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction.
