On invitation by the Association of DFIs in the Pacific (ADFIP), ADFIAP, represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, attended the 28th ADFIP Annual Meetings held on October 28 to November 1, 2013 at the Edgewater Resort Hotel in Rarotonga, Cook Islands and hosted by the Bank of Cook Islands. The Prime Minister of the Cook Islands, Honourable Henry Puna, inaugurated the event.
The annual event, which attracted over 40 delegates from ADFIP’s 24 member-DFIs, also featured a conference themed, “Breaking New Ground in Financing Development in the Pacific” which covered topics such as key performance indicators for DFIs, sourcing of funds, I.T. banking solutions, SME finance, housing finance, green finance and related topics. Mr. Peralta presented ADFIAP’s “KPIs for DFIs”, a tool it has developed for performance measurement and benchmarking of DFIs.
The meetings also provided an occasion for ADFIP to discuss and get consensus from its members of its 5-year strategic plan and feasibility study for a standalone Secretariat in which Mr. Peralta participated in and provided inputs.
ADFIP is the focal point of all development banks and other financial institutions financing sustainable development in the Pacific Island Countries.
