November 13, 2024, Lima, Peru- In a significant gathering to foster economic collaboration, the Association of Development Financing Institutions (ADFIAP) co-hosted a banking meeting alongside ALIDE during the APEC Peru side event. This pivotal meeting brought together Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region delegates and the Asia Pacific, focusing on “Financial Cooperation for Sustainable Development: Connecting LAC and Asia Pacific through Development Financial Institutions.”
The conference commenced with inspiring welcome remarks from ADFIAP Chairman, His Excellency Dr. KAO Thach. He emphasized the critical role of development financial institutions (DFIs) in driving sustainable economic growth and addressing pressing global challenges such as climate change, poverty, and inequality. Gianpiero Leoncini, Executive Vice President of CAF-Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, delivered an opening speech.
