The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), as Chair of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Council (MSMEDC), led by action woman Secretary Cris Roque has invited ADFIAP Secretary General Enrique Florencio to join the Awards Board of Judges for the upcoming Presidential Awards for Outstanding MSMEs and Presidential Recognition for Outstanding Development Partners. The event was held at the
Ascott Hotel Makati on June 18, 2025.
Scheduled for 2025, these esteemed awards aim to recognize and highlight the vital contributions of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and their development partners in driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth. The President of the Philippines confers the awards, underscoring the significance of MSMEs in the country’s economic development.
The Presidential Awards are established under Republic Act No. 9501, the Magna Carta for MSMEs. This act recognizes outstanding 100% Filipino-owned MSMEs. Presidential Recognition, conversely, honors development partners that have made significant contributions to MSME growth.
