ADFIAP, Land Bank hold briefing on sustainability reporting

DSC_2204-croppedADFIAP and Land Bank of the Philippines held a briefing on sustainability reporting using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and its guidelines on May 4, 2011 at the Bank’s headquarters in Malate, Manila, Philippines. ADFIAP’s Head of Knowledge Management, Mr. Enrique Florencio, shared an overview of the trends in international business reporting which provided the context for sustainability reporting as well as discussed the process in preparing sustainability reports.

Selected members of Land Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Task Force, a committee that spearheads the preparation and production of the Bank’s sustainability report were present in the briefing. Land Bank SVP for Accounts Management and CSR Task Force Chairperson Edward John Reyes and VP for Program Lending and CSR Task Force Vice-chairperson Noemi dela Paz led the attendees.

The production of its sustainability report is in line with Land Bank’s efforts to beef up transparency as regards its programs, activities and achievements related to sustainable development. Its sustainability report will be based on the framework and standard espoused by the GRI and will cover the Bank’s activities for calendar year 2009-2010.
