Cape Town, South Africa – ADFIAP Secretary General Mr. Enrique Florencio participated in the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions (WFDFI) Board of Governors (BOG) Meeting held on February 25 at the Pullman Hotel Cape Town.
The meeting brought together Secretaries General of regional associations comprising the WFDFI, including the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI), the Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions (ALIDE), and the Association of National Development Finance Institutions in Member Countries of the Islamic Development Bank (ADFIMI). Representatives from the European Long-Term Investors (ELTI) association also joined the meeting.
The WFDFI BOG Meeting was a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among the five regional associations. It allowed the associations to discuss their achievements and plans for 2025, aligning their efforts to promote sustainable development and financial inclusion.
ADFIAP’s participation in the meeting underscored its commitment to strengthening regional and global partnerships, sharing best practices, and promoting development finance solutions that address the unique challenges of the Asia-Pacific region.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment among the WFDFI member associations to work together to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote sustainable development finance globally.
