Board members of member-institution, Commonwealth Development Authority (CDA), visited the ADFIAP International Headquarters in Manila, Philippines on November 6, 2013 and met with the ADFIAP Secretariat and the ADFIAP consulting team to learn more about the activities and programs of the Association.

CDA, a member since 1996, is an autonomous public agency based in the Northern Marianas Islands whose mandate is to stimulate economic development in the area by providing economic loan funds to private and public sectors. CDA wishes to benefit from the training programs and advisory services of ADFIAP particularly on credit appraisal, credit scoring models and credit risk management. AC Head, Ms .Cora Conde gave a briefing on the consulting group’s engagements and offerings. Ms. Sandra Honrado, Head of the Asia-Pacific Institute Development Finance (IDF) gave a briefing on the various training programs being offered and Mr. Enrique Florencio, Head of the Knowledge Management Unit, introduced sustainability reporting which covers not only financial reporting but also environmental and social aspects.

The CDA delegation included Acting Chairman, Mr. Diego M. Songoa, DCD Chairman Mr. Tom Quitugua and Board Members Messrs. Edward Sablan and Edwin Aldan. Also present in the meeting were Ms. Sandy Lim, ADFIAP Consultant, Membership Development and other members of the ADFIAP Consulting (AC), namely, Atty. Alberto Reyno, Ms. Arlene Orencia and Ms. Cristy Aquino.
