The international training program, “Unlocking ESG Values: Strategies for Human Resources,” successfully concluded on March 14, 2025, following a highly engaging five-day session. Organized by ADFIAP, the program brought together 14 international participants from member and non-member organizations across Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, and the Philippines. The sessions and workshops focused on integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into HR strategies, fostering sustainable leadership, and promoting long-term organizational success. Understanding ESG Principles Throughout the program, participants gained a deeper understanding of ESG principles, including:
Environmental issues: climate-related risks, circularity, biodiversity, and resource efficiency
Social issues: employee relationships, supplier management, customer engagement, and community involvement
Governance issues: leadership, compensation, internal controls, corporate ethics, and shareholder rights
Through interactive discussions, case studies, and the sharing of best practices, participants gained actionable insights to implement ESG initiatives within their organizations. They recognized the vital role Human Resources professionals play in embedding ESG principles, driving cultures of equity, sustainability, and ethical governance. The program highlighted the importance of HR in:
