The ADFIAP Secretariat presented to its member, RCBC Savings Bank, its Plaque of Merit award during its official delegations’ visit at the ADFIAP International Headquarters on June 10, 2013. ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta handed the award to RCBC Savings Bank President and CEO, Mr. Rommel S. Latinazo, who was unable to attend the ADFIAP Awards 2013 presentations in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as part of the 36th ADFIAP Annual Meetings in the Mongolian capital. Joining Mr. Latinazo during the awarding were Mr. Guilberto K. Benedicto, First VP & Division Head of Product Development and Channel Management Division, Ms. Teresa Y. Fajardo, AVP, Department Head of Electronic Banking Channels and Ms. Anne Katherine B. Arduo, Manager, Product Manager of Electronic Banking Channels.

RCBC Savings Bank was recognized for its project “RCBC Savings Bank Access One” under the Technology Development category. The award-winning project is an Internet Banking Facility, introduced by the Bank in response to clients’ demand for an alternative banking service delivery channel. This ultimately generated cost savings for the Bank by diverting low-value transactions to self-service as well as provided the Bank personnel the opportunity to focus its time and energy on developing new services to its clients.
