ADFIAP serves as review panellist on DBP good governance program

ADFIAP, represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, was among the select group of panellists requested by the Institute for Solidarity Asia (ISA) and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) to review and confirm on the progress of the Development Bank of the Philippines’ (DBP) good governance program in a public revalida held during the “Public Governance Forum” co-organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) at the Philippine International Convention Center on March 30, 2012. CIPE has also been supporting ADFIAP’s governance and corporate citizenship programs.

DBP is the first government-owned financial institution candidate for initiation into ISA’s Performance Governance System (PGS). The PGS is a rigorous accreditation program divided into four distinct stages of initiation, compliance, proficiency and institutionalization. To complete each stage and graduate to the next, an organization or a local government must meet specific performance targets as verified by ISA inspectors. The hallmark of the PGS is a well-crafted strategy that is created by the organization in consultation with its internal and external stakeholders in pursuit of a vision and how this vision serves as a reference for identifying priorities and major initiatives. This vision is captured in a road map and measured in a governance scorecard.
