On invitation of the Singapore-based Pinnacle Group International, ADFIAP spoke during its 3rd Annual Global CSR Summit 2011 held on August 11-12, 2011 at the Marriot Hotel, Cebu City, in Southern Philippines. More than 200 delegates attended the event.

Mr. Enrique Florencio, ADFIAP Head of Knowledge Management Unit, presented the topic “Sustainability Reporting: The Missing Link”, where he discussed sustainability reporting scenario in the Philippines as well as ADFIAP’s advocacy in promoting the relevance and value of sustainability reporting among its members. Other speakers during the event included industry leaders and experts.

The theme of the event “Beyond Sustainability” highlights the future directions of corporate social responsibility (CSR), going beyond the narrow concept of sustainability that aims at minimizing environmental harm and maintaining the status quo and towards a new paradigm of embracing innovative and cutting edge solutions that contribute beneficially to businesses, societies and the environment. The Global CSR Summit is Asia’s most prestigious event on corporate social responsibility.
