(March 26, 2026) — On the sidelines of the high‑level conference hosted by the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), ADFIAP Secretary General Enrique Florencio, with Sandra Honrado, Membership and International Relations Executive, visited two of ADFIAP’s member institutions in Cambodia—the Credit Guarantee Corporation of Cambodia (CGCC) and the SME Bank of Cambodia.
The visits formed part of ADFIAP’s continuing commitment to deepen member engagement, strengthen institutional partnerships, and support the advancement of inclusive green finance across the region.
During the visit to CGCC, ADFIAP met with senior leadership to discuss the corporation’s expanding role in supporting MSMEs through credit guarantees—an essential mechanism for reducing risk and enabling broader access to finance.
CGCC shared updates on its guaranteed schemes, including initiatives to support MSMEs in transitioning to greener, more resilient business models. Discussions also explored how credit guarantee systems can complement ADFIAP’s Nexus+ Facility and the ADFIAPNET Core Banking System, particularly in de‑risking climate investments and mobilizing private capital for green projects.
Florencio commended CGCC’s efforts, noting that “credit guarantees are a powerful tool for unlocking financing for MSMEs, especially those adopting climate‑smart and sustainable practices.”
ADFIAP also visited the SME Bank of Cambodia, where conversations centered on the bank’s mandate to support small and medium enterprises—an important engine of Cambodia’s economic growth.
Florencio emphasized ADFIAP’s readiness to support the bank through capacity‑building programs, peer learning, and the Nexus+ platform. “SMEs are at the heart of inclusive development,” he said. “Empowering them with access to green finance is essential for building a resilient and sustainable economy.”
