Two study tour programs on microfinance are currently being planned by the ADFIAP Events Team, one to be held on March 19-23, 2007 in Manila, Philippines and the other on September 26-28 in Siemreap, Cambodia.

These five-day study tour programs aim to impart a deeper knowledge and an actual observation on microfinance practices and activities as well as enable participants to learn the best practices of the major microfinance players in the two countries (from wholesale lending to retail lending). The programs’ methodology include executive briefings of various private and government conduits of microfinance funds, including NGOs, and field visits to microenterprise clients of these institutions. ADFIAP Events is ADFIAP’s business unit that specializes in organizing and managing specific and demand-driven activities aside from the formal training and credentialing courses offered by the ADFIAP Institute of Development Finance (IDF).
