ADFIAP visits international economic development group

IEDCIn conjunction with the World Federation of DFIs’ Board of Governors’ meeting and annual forum held in Washington, D.C., ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, visited the headquarters of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) on October 10, 2013 and met with Ms. Swati A. Ghosh and Mr. Scott Annis, Director for Research and Technical Assistance and Economic Development Associate, respectively, to explore potential areas of cooperation.

IEDC www.iedconline.org/ is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to helping economic developers do their job more effectively and raising the profile of the profession. It is the world’s largest professional organization for economic development practitioners, with more than 4,500 members across the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries. Its members are from public to private, rural to urban, and local to international, representing the entire range of economic development experience, including regional, state, county, and city economic development organizations, chambers of commerce and other business support agencies, community and neighborhood development organizations, technology development agencies, utility companies, educational institutions, consultants and redevelopment authorities.
