June 25, 2026, Solomon Islands (Virtual) — The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) formally welcomed Mr. Aisake Radu, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Solomon Islands (DBSI), during a virtual introductory and planning session with the bank’s leadership. Mr. Radu assumed office in January, succeeding the recently retired Mr. Nafitalai Cakacaka, and now leads DBSI at a pivotal moment in its institutional journey.
The meeting, also attended by DBSI’s new Human Resources Manager, Ms. Lynette Tora, reaffirmed the strong ties between ADFIAP and DBSI and set the stage for deeper collaboration to advance sustainable finance and institutional strengthening.
“ADFIAP is honored to welcome Mr. Aisake to our community of development finance leaders. We stand ready to support his vision for DBSI and look forward to working closely to strengthen financial resilience and drive inclusive economic growth in the Solomon Islands,” said ADFIAP Secretary General Enrique Florencio.
Looking Ahead: Strengthening Regional Engagement
Building on this successful introduction, Mr. Radu and the DBSI delegation have been formally invited to attend the 49th ADFIAP Annual Meetings, scheduled for September 23–25 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The meeting will provide DBSI leadership with a premier platform to engage with international peers, exchange insights on green financing, digital transformation, and institutional innovation, and further solidify DBSI’s role in the Asia-Pacific development finance ecosystem.
