Institutionalizing Responsible Corporate Citizenship

ADFIAP, in collaboration with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), an affiliate of the United States Chamber of Commerce, will conduct the above-cited international seminar as a kick-off event of the ADFIAP-CIPE project in promoting responsible corporate citizenship among financial institutions in the Asia-Pacific region.

The aim of this seminar is to encourage development banks and other financial institutions to be model corporate citizens by having an internal written policy on responsible conduct, implement a communication plan to reach the policy’s internal stakeholders, and work to sustain it. As financial intermediaries, they can also develop good corporate citizenship guidelines and embed them in their lending decisions.

Target participants for this program are senior officer/s of development banks and other financial institutions who are designated and/or potential designates as corporate social responsibility (CSR) point person(s) to oversee, direct, and manage a sustainable responsible sustainable citizenship program in each participating institution.
