Leta Kami, CEO of the Ave Pa’anga Pau TDB Ltd. and the Tonga Development Bank, has announced her resignation, effective August 17, 2022.
Ms. Kami’s 33 years of dedication and commitment to Tonga’s economic and social growth includes ten years as CEO. Her accomplishments and transformational leadership, particularly in extending the Bank’s commercial goods and services, and executing development banking responsibilities for the social and economic improvement of the people of Tonga, were highly commended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Penisimani Vea.
After being separated from her husband and family for two trying years due to COVID-19 limitations and border closures, Mrs. Kami is eager to reunite with them in Fiji. Additional revenue sources and a subsidiary called “AVE PA’ANGA PAU TDB LTD” were also established and further improved the Bank’s revenue sources and helped Tonga’s communities and families improve their standard of living on a larger scale.
