DBP attains public governance compliance mark

DBP_governanceDevelopment Bank of the Philippines (DBP) successfully attained the Compliance status of the Public Governance System (PGS) at the bi-annual Public Governance Forum organized by the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA) on October 21, 2014 at the Philippine International Convention Center. DBP President and Chief Executive Officer Gil A. Buenaventura presented the Bank’s plans and accomplishments during the revalida (validation exercise) to a panel that was composed of experts from the business, academe, media, civil society and business organization which includes ADFIAP.

The PGS program consists of four stages: Initiation, Compliance, Proficiency, and Institutionalization. Through the PGS, the organization’s vision is translated into specific and quantifiable strategies and time-bound commitments with the objective of realizing breakthrough results. DBP has the distinction of being the first government financial institution to have been into PGS. DBP also received a Silver Trailblazer award, conferred on institutions that have garnered a score of 8.5 to 9.2 in the public revalida. The Gold Trailblazer award is conferred to institutions that scored higher than 9.2.
