Esquire Financing runs business innovation competition for students

Equire FinancingAs an extension of its vision to enhance economic development, Philippine-based Esquire Financing Inc. has launched “Fueling the Dream: A Business Competition”. The competition aims to gather university and college students who would like to contribute to sustainable development through planning socially and environmentally relevant ventures.

It also aims to foster a culture of learning and collaboration of student entrepreneurs advocating inclusive businesses and to promote the spirit of entrepreneurship. Recently, the “best business model” was awarded to Duracinth, a start-up company that uses water hyacinth as main material for a making hydrogel wound care products. Duracinth’s proponents and Ateneo de Manila students bested nine other teams to win the PHP 100,000 cash prize and up to PHP 1 million in capital as well as being featured in the Entrepreneur magazine.
