ADFIAP holds webinar on post-Covid risk management imperatives

ADFIAP’s two service units, the Institute of Development Finance (IDF) and the ADFIAP Consulting (AC) Group, have collaborated to hold a webinar on “The Financial Disruptions of COVID-19 on Financial Institutions: A Dialogue on How to Traverse the Road to a Better Normal” on August 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Philippine Standard Time. The online event attracted 83 attendees from ADFIAP members, partners, and banking networks.

The webinar is part of a series of online learning sessions for ADFIAP members and development partners that aims is to provide participants with insights from fellow development finance professionals as well as to update them on current trends and practical tools to further improve their work.

The one-hour-and-a-half online learning session covered the impact of Covid-19 on DFIs and banks in Asia and the Pacific and shared practices and imperatives to support the recovery process. The webinar also emphasized the need for a robust risk management system,
provided the participants with essential principles and cited dynamics of risk management needed for operational resilience and sustainability.

The main speakers of the webinar were Ms. Corazon ‘Cora’ Conde, Group Head of ADFIAP Consulting, Ms. Arlene Orencia, AC Lead Consultant for Sustainable Finance, Credit Appraisal, and Asset Management and Atty. Alberto B. Reyno, AC Managing Principal / Legal Counsel.
