ADFIAP, represented by Cecilia M. Ibarra, Head of ADFIAP Consulting’s Training and Advocacy Unit, attended the Asia Meeting and Incentive Travel Exchange (AMITE) 2017 event in Bangkok, Thailand as a fully hosted buyer. The event was held last July 11-12, 2017 at the five star Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park Hotel.
The AMITE 2017 event, which featured appointments between MICE buyers and suppliers, is the industry’s only one-to-one event held in private suites at a five-star hotel in Asia.
Every year, hand-picked MICE buyers and selected elite suppliers get to experience the best of what AMITE offers. This year, AMITE was participated by more than 60 global buyers and Asia-Pacific suppliers with a dynamic program comprising business meetings, multiple networking functions, site-visits, and familiarization trips.
AMITE 2017 selected the top buyers in the industry through a stringent pre-qualifying process. Suppliers were guaranteed pre-scheduled appointments with high-volume qualified buyers who have concrete MICE programs in Asia in the near future. To create a more intimate atmosphere, hotel suites served as overnight accommodation for suppliers and the pre-scheduled appointments with buyers took place in the living room of the suppliers’ hotel suites.
