ADFIAP launches global internship and leadership program

The Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) recently launched the “ADFIAP Global Internship and Leadership Program” (AGILE) designed to broaden the knowledge and exposure of local and international students in development finance.

Under ADFIAP’s supervision, the program will provide students with international experience while developing skills and deepening their knowledge in the field of development banking and finance. The program is open to all local and international students who are enrolled in a Master’s Program in business, economics, finance, development management, international relations, communications, or any related area of study. Once accepted, each student intern will pursue a doable and structured project under the tutelage of an assigned officer in ADFIAP. The internship period will be flexible dependent on the requirement of the applicant’s university vis-à-vis the nature of the project. While the program is originally intended to graduate students, undergraduate students may also be considered provided they demonstrate intellectual maturity, resourcefulness, and the potential to independently carry out a project.

ADFIAP has always been seeking innovative ways to strengthen partnerships among organizations as well as connect people and ideas to inspire leadership and achievement in the global context. As such, the internship program aims to bring novel perspectives and fresh ideas not only to the ADFIAP Secretariat but also to member-DFIs .
