The ADFIAP Secretariat, composed of membership, knowledge management and administration and finance units as well as business service units, ADFIAP Consulting (AC) and the Asia-Pacific Institute of Development Finance (IDF), held its regular operational review and forward planning on September 8, 2016 at its Manila headquarters.

Amidst the changing environment, the activity was also an occasion to have a re-look of the service offerings of the Association to its members and to determine which will be enhanced and which need to be scaled down during a planned follow-up brainstorming session on October 11. With rising member expectations, shifting demographics and the availability of alternative sources of information, training and networking, which are the traditional coverage of the association, the Secretariat is aiming to meet these challenges head on and to sustain its relevance for years to come, in particular with the advent of disruptive technologies, the implementation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs), among others.

Presentations and idea exchanges on the accomplishments vis-à-vis the plans presented at the January planning meeting and plans for the second half of the year, were also undertaken and discussed. The Secretariat is confident and optimistic that with an informed and equipped staff, the association sees further sustained development and growth.
