AC completes BCI credit policy and procedures manual

IMG_4098ADFIAP, through the ADFIAP Consulting Group (AC), has completed its work mandate for the Bank of Cook Islands (BCI). AC was commissioned by BCI to undertake a comprehensive review, update and consolidation of its internal credit policies as well as external regulatory policies into a “Credit Policy and Procedures Manual” which will serve as the Bank’s credit and risk management roadmap. The manual will enable the Bank to level up its capability to implement international trends and best practices and deliver credit services to its clients.

Under Phase 2 of the consulting engagement, AC Group Head, Ms. Cora D. Conde and Managing Principal, Atty. Bert B. Reyno presented on March 18, 2015 to the BCI Board of Directors led by Acting Chairperson Jeanie Matenga, the manual which was finalized in consultation with the BCI management team headed by Managing Director Vaine Nooana-Arioka. Also as part of the consulting mandate, a face-to-face orientation training was conducted for the management team, loan advisors and associates on the proper implementation of the manual.

BCI is a government financial institution with the largest branch banking network in the Cook Islands having 11 branches in the outer islands. Known as “The People’s Bank”, it is committed to its role in the sustainable development of the Cook Islands.
