ADFIAP Consulting (AC), the consulting and advisory business service unit of ADFIAP, and the Vancouver, Canada-based Metrolink Solutions Corporation (MetroLink), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to harness common synergies through, among others, the proposed development and implementation of a social business initiative called “SPARC” or Sustainable Progressive Action for the Revitalization of Communities. The project involves four pillars of sustainable communities – education, health, small business and information technology – that will be enhanced via Metrolink’s showcase offerings, namely, School Web, Health Web, SME HiVe, and Community Net, respectively.

Under the MoC, AC and Metrolink agreed to cooperate and undertake the following wide-range of activities: (a) facilitate interaction between their stakeholders in order to encourage business strategic alliances and networking among themselves and their partner-organizations (b) jointly develop and promote institutional capacity-building projects and programs to enhance the capability of development finance institutions and other financial institutions and organizations that share similar objectives (c) co-organize, collaborate, and assist each other in conferences and forums on sustainable development issues such as, but not limited to, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) development, IT, environmental and corporate social responsibility as well as other relevant topics and (d) explore other areas of cooperation such as information and study exchanges, research, and other relevant endeavours.

The MoC was signed by AC Group Head Ms. Cora Conde and Metrolink Managing Director for Asia, Mr. George Delmas on February 3, 2012 at the ADFIAP International Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
