ADFIAP, ASSIST explore synergistic cooperation

The ADFIAP Secretariat and the ADFIAP Consulting (AC) Group met with their counterparts in the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) at the Association’s headquarters in Makati City and explored cooperation opportunities based on synergies and common advocacies in the areas of small and medium enterprise (SME) development and finance, sustainable consumption and production (SCP) and green finance. Other possible joint initiatives discussed included partnership in grant proposals, project management, development of toolkits and e-learning content as well as other capacity enhancement activities.

ASSIST’s Group Managing Director, Mr. N. Sreenivas and his colleagues, Ms. Marivic Mamaradlo and Ms. Melba Tutor, met with Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, ADFIAP Secretary General, AC Group Head, Ms. Cora D. Conde, Atty. Alberto Reyno, AC Managing Partner, Ms. Cecile Ibarra, AC Head of Advocacy and Training, and Ms. Arlene Orencia, AC Head of Projects and Programs.

The Philippine-based ASSIST is an international non-government organization focused on capacity building and seeks to promote sustainable practices to address social problems in the developing world, with focus on Asia and Africa. ASSIST’s goal is to empower its target groups to make them resilient to the social, economic and environmental challenges. It has also operations in India and Vietnam and manages projects in over 10 countries.
