ADFIAP attends ESCAP’s Business Advisory Council meeting, APBF 2013

ESCAPOn invitation by the United Nation’s Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), ADFIAP represented by its Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, attended the 6th ESCAP Business Advisory Council (EBAC) meeting and the Asia-Pacific Business Forum (APBF) 2013 held at the Royal Princess Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand from November 25-27, 2013.

ADFIAP is part of the 57 current EBAC members consisting of executives and representatives of leading businesses and organizations in a wide range of industries and sectors from across the Asia-Pacific region. EBAC aims to provide business perspectives on development issues in the Asia-Pacific region to governments as represented in the legislative bodies of ESCAP as well as advice to the ESCAP secretariat on its programmes and projects.

The APBF is the only region-wide multi-stakeholder business forum organized by ESCAP. The APBF provides the best platform for public-private sector dialogue on the role and needs of business in achieving inclusive, resilient and sustainable development. The theme for this year’s forum is “Connecting the Pacific with Asia”.
