Mr. Philip Armstrong and Marjorie Pavia, Head and Program Officer, GCGFADFIAP and the Washington, D.C.-based Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF) are exploring the possibility of cooperation in training and capacity-building on corporate governance. GCGF has developed an extensive portfolio of knowledge resources on the subject, among others, a Board Leadership Training package and a Governing Banks module focusing on risk management. ADFIAP has also a wealth of training resources on corporate governance through its DFIs for Corporate Governance initiative https://www.governance-asia.com/ supported by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) https://www.cipe.org/

Mr. Philip Armstrong and Ms. Marjorie Pavia, Head and Program Officer of GCGF, respectively, met and discussed this potential collaboration with Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, ADFIAP Secretary General, at the ADFIAP Headquarters in Manila on March 23, 2011.

GCGF https://www.gcgf.org/ is a multi-donor trust fund facility located within the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and co-founded in 1999 by the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). It is a leading knowledge and capacity building platform dedicated to corporate governance reform in emerging markets and developing countries.
