ADFIAP Invited to IFC’s Sustainable Finance Symposium

ADFIAP, on invitation of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), attended the “International Symposium on Sustainable Finance” held on March 29, 2010 at the Suntec Singapore International Convention &
Exhibition Centre.

The event that attracted 100 participants from banks, financial institutions, regulatory bodies and the private sector, was held in cooperation with the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, and with the support of the ASEAN Bankers Association.

The forum showcased IFC’s work on environmental and social risk management and performance standards as well as the different tools that they have developed in this field. It also featured IFC’s partner-institutions’ case studies on sustainable energy finance and highlighted IFC’s initiatives on the Equator Principles, with two Equator Principle Financial Institutions(EPFI) namely,HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank, presenting their best practices on sustainable finance.
