ADFIAP Secretary General, Mr. Octavio B. Peralta, visited the main offices of the Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF) in Washington, D.C. and met with its Head, Mr. Philip Armstrong to discuss the finer details of the planned “Governing Banks Seminar” for board directors of ADFIAP member-DFIs and partners.

This recent module on governance is part of GCGF’s successful Board Leadership series and is a comprehensive module on risk governance and risk management that provides the domain-specific expertise required of bank board directors. It puts a special emphasis on strategy formulation, financial controls, supervision and reporting, risk management, and corporate social responsibility.

GCGF is a multi-donor trust fund facility located within the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and co-founded in 1999 by the World Bank and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). It is a leading knowledge and capacity building platform dedicated to corporate governance reform in emerging markets and developing countries.
